Arabian Crepe

Arabian Crepe
ARABIAN CREPE
A cotton fabric woven plain from hard-twisted yarns such as 24's warp, 28's weft (crepe yarns) 44 X 32 per inch. A figured effect is woven by the use of a coarse soft spun extra weft which floats from figure to figure, and the floats are afterwards cut away, thus giving a compact figure on a plain ground. Various qualities are made in silk and worsted yarns.
